I am Katalin Bárdi, Eating Coach.
I have been passionate about medicine since I was a child.
I have previously worked as an operational and administrative manager in several sectors.
For more than a decade, I struggled with food intolerances and chronic digestive problems that plagued my daily life, sometimes without diagnosis, sometimes without proper guidance after diagnosis.
In 2012, while working in psychic and transgenerational therapy, I began to explore approaches to functional medicine, which recognises the different functions of the human body and the psyche as an interdependent whole.
In order to help others, in 2015 I qualified as a MIND-BODY EATING COACH at the American Institute for the Psychology of Eating.
I am an Eating Coach who works to nourish the body and mind using the principles of the psychology of eating.
This holistic approach focuses on the fact that because we eat the way we live, our challenges with food and eating are very often not (just) about food, but are also intimately connected to our pain, trauma, joy, struggles, desires, beliefs and, for many, chronic stress.
Clients may come to me with overeating, compulsive eating, chronic dieting, weight problems, digestive problems, food intolerances.
During individual coaching sessions of varying frequency, I help my clients to recognize and more deeply understand:
-the relationship they have with food;
-what they believe are their unwanted eating habits;
-how they eat, when they eat, what they eat and what emotions they eat with;
-what stresses there are in their life, how their lifestyle affects their physical and mental health, their eating habits and their relationship with food;
-what physical and health goals they want to achieve, which of these and how they want to change.
I help my clients to overcome the chaos of having a lot of conflicting test results, or often lacking the necessary tests, when they can’t decide where to go next and feel like they can no longer eat anything.
I provide personalized and practical dietary advice to help them regain and maintain a balance between body and mind.
Together with my clients, we explore important mind-body connections and develop eating and lifestyle habits that are better suited to their body and life situation, resulting in real quality-of-life changes.
I started collaborating with the excellent doctors at ProctoMed Center in 2019, whose complex, yet exceptionally humane approach and practice is closest to my heart.
