3D rectal ultrasound
With the help of the rotating head 3D rectal ultrasound, we are able to diagnose lesions that are hidden even to the experienced doctor during routine finger, anoscope and rectoscope examinations.
It allows us to accurately assess the structure and possible defects of the mucosal and sphincter apparatus surrounding the anal canal.
This could be a blind pouch under the mucosa, an abscess growing between the muscle rings of the rectum, a muscle tear caused by a birth injury, but also in the case of rectal abscesses, a 3D rectal ultrasound is always necessary to map the ducts and plan the subsequent surgery.
