EMG biofeedback
Gatizome tournament
During the gait training, the patient can learn voluntary contraction of the pelvic sphincter muscles in 4×1 hours by learning a variety of exercises.
By performing these exercises regularly at home, using the right number of repetitions, muscle strength and speed, the muscle is strengthened and its endurance function is improved.
During the Gait training sessions, a so-called.
PFX, which has both a rectal and vaginal measuring head, so it can be used for both men and women, as well as for people with bowel and urinary difficulties, to help them learn correct muscle function.

Gait training with biofeedback
This method uses software to visualise the electrical activity conducted by an EMG (electromyography) sensor placed in the vagina or rectum.
The procedure is completely painless.
The patient learns to consciously live, control and balance their otherwise unconscious functions.
Initially, we use diagrams or numbers to give feedback on the quality of function (biofeedback).
Then music, pictures or videos motivate and teach the expected muscle contraction or, in other cases, relaxation.
The treatment requires the active participation of the patient, developing the cooperation of body and mind in the area.
The treatment takes place in a sitting position, in your own street clothes.
The exercises correctly learned during the feedback training should be done regularly at home!
Treatment of certain types of incontinence with biofeedback is highly effective, with recovery of function usually expected within 4-8 weeks.
The pictures below show the vaginal and rectal sensors:

The patient can see on the screen the pressure curves created by the sphincter muscles and can control the strengthening of their muscles through video games built into the programme:
