My name is Dr. Péter Ónody, I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Semmelweis University in 2008, and then I.
I started my career at the Department of Surgery of the Department of Surgery, Transplantation and Gastroenterology of the University of Semmelode Hospital, where I have been working ever since.

In 2016, I started to take a more serious interest in proctology: I received a lot of help from Chief Medical Officer Éva Csatár, who I consider my mentor, to expand my expertise.
At ProctoMed Center I have the opportunity to diagnose and treat a wide spectrum of proctological problems.
I perform both open and laparoscopic (requiring a much smaller incision than traditional surgery) surgeries.

In Hungary, there are many patients who do not know who to turn to with their rectal or peri-rectal pain and complaints.
This fact inspired me and my colleagues a few years ago to found the Pelvic Pain Working Group, which is unique in Hungary and now internationally operating, where we try to help patients with pelvic pain or other functional problems of unknown origin.

During my training, I have tried to learn as much as possible about the wide range of surgery and have therefore participated in several international study trips (USA, UK, Germany, Italy, Switzerland).
I am a member of several surgical societies and I am a participant, speaker and organiser of many national and international congresses.

My aim is to create a doctor-patient relationship where patients can come to me with confidence, in a relaxed, professional environment, using the latest testing equipment.
