I am Dr. Gábor Ferreira, I graduated cum laude from the Faculty of General Medicine of Semmelweis University in 2009.
Afterwards I was employed at my main place of training, the Semmelweis University of Medicine, I.sz.

Surgical and Interventional Gastroenterology Clinic, currently at the Department of Surgery, Transplantation and Gastroenterology, Semmelweis University.
I qualified as a surgeon in 2015, and a few years before that I became more interested in coloproctology, colorectal surgery and surgery of inflammatory bowel diseases.
In 2016, I had the opportunity to study in Belgium, at the University Hospital of Leuven, through an international competition, to get to know the eminent European representatives of the profession, their professional guidelines and methods.
This period was a major inspiration for my career.
I have gained specific experience in the treatment of anorectal fistulas caused by Crohn’s disease, using both traditional sphincter-sparing techniques and the latest techniques based on stem cell treatment.
In addition to clinical patient care and education, there was a need for a different type of outpatient, same quality, but more predictable, well-planned, same-day surgical and proctological care, which I was able to provide in several places, in the framework of reimbursed patient care.
I was attracted to ProctoMed Center because of its high professional standards, patient-centeredness, selfless and supportive community atmosphere, and I am happy and enthusiastic to work with my colleagues.
I am currently a member of the practice and I try to provide empathetic care to patients to the best of my ability.
