I graduated from Semmelweis Medical University in 1976 and started working in the surgical department of the Csepel Hospital in the same year.
In 1980 I passed my surgical specialist examination.
From 1989 to 2001 I worked in the Department of Internal Medicine and then Dermatology at the Szent István Hospital in Budapest.
I spent a total of six years in the Department of Dermatology, during which time I had the opportunity to learn about and become familiar with the wide range of clinical aspects of skin diseases around the rectum.
In 1993 I qualified as a specialist in internal medicine.
From 2001 to 2005 I worked in the gastroenterology department of St. John’s Hospital, and in 2005 I obtained my specialist qualification in gastroenterology.
My main interest has been proctology for over 35 years; I have been running an independent proctology practice since 1981.
I learned the whole spectrum of this branch of surgery in the famous proctology schools of Europe.
My greatest masters are Marc-Claude Martiand Bruno Roch, from whom I learned to perform faster, more effective and less invasive surgical procedures at the University of Geneva Clinic.
I have attended and lectured at numerous congresses in Switzerland and abroad, and have been invited to give surgical demonstrations in several places.
I am constantly training and have co-authored several national and international textbooks.
I am co-author and editor of the niche textbook Atlas and Manual of Perianal Skin Diseases.
I started a private practice in proctology in the early 90’s and founded the ProctoMed Center in 2005.
Gastroenterological examinations are often essential for making proctological diagnoses, so in 2014 I added a gastroenterology department to the practice.
My main goal as a doctor is to make my patients feel safe and to provide them with fast, precise and gentle outpatient care.
This is what the ProctoMed Center is all about: thanks to our highly qualified specialists, state-of-the-art equipment and patient-centred approach, we can treat all bowel-related problems locally and to European standards.
