My name is Dr. István Korpásy, I graduated from the University of Medicine in 1970, in 1974 I passed the specialist examination in pathology and in 1981 in surgery.
From 1978 I worked in the surgical department of ORFI, from 1996 to 2000 as second-in-chief.
From 2000 I continued my work at the Buda Irgalmasrendi Hospital as Head of Department.
Since 1985 I have been performing endoscopic procedures in addition to my abdominal surgery.
In 1988, I took part in a study tour at McGill University in Montreal, which was instrumental in developing painless examinations and procedures.
I have been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for the Future of Surgery since 1992, and since 2000 I have been its President.
I regularly participate in scientific conferences and training courses at home and abroad.
In 2001, I was introduced to the modern treatment of colorectal cancer in England on Professor Heald’s training course.
Every year I attend Professor Bruno Roche’s training course in proctology outpatient surgery in Geneva.
I am a member of the Hungarian Society of Surgeons, the Gastroenterological Society, the Coloproctology Section of the MST and the Surgical Society of the Same Day Surgery.
I have worked at ProctoMed Center since 2014 as a gastroenterologist, proctologist and surgeon.
I specialise in the investigation of gastroenterological diseases, gastroscopy, early detection, treatment and follow-up of colorectal cancer, painless colonoscopy, treatment of haemorrhoids and local excision of skin and subcutaneous lesions.
In my work, I always strive to ensure that the tests and therapies I perform are not only effective, but also as gentle as possible.
In addition, open, partner-like communication with patients and creating a safe atmosphere are also very important to me.
