I am Dr. Éva Sebestény, I graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine of Semmelweis University of Medicine in 1999.
My career in health care started earlier, as I worked as a laboratory assistant in the Department of Microbiology at Semmelweis University of Medical Sciences from 1991-1993.
Between 2000 and 2005 I worked as a resident at the Central Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Unit of the Károlyi Sándor Hospital.
In addition to on-call and intensive care patients, I worked in obstetrics, abdominal surgery, orthopaedics and traumatology.
I worked as a consultant anaesthetist from 2005 until 2012.
From that year onwards, I worked as Head of Department at the Central Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Unit of the Károlyi Sándor Hospital.
From 2007 until today I am the managing director of Szunya Medical Ltd.
The company is engaged in awake sedation, a technique where painkillers and sedatives are administered intravenously to the patient, so that he/she does not feel the intervention.
At the ProctoMed Center, I also perform this for examinations and outpatient surgeries where awake sedation is warranted or requested by the patient.
